January 29, 2008

It was warm today, but the wind was blowing hard and gusting up to 50 MPH. The big cedar tree next Rebecca's house blew down and fell just short of hitting our truck. Fortunately Drew and Rebecca were at work or else it would have crushed BOTH of their cars. Drew and I will have to cut it up tomorrow. Carly's biggest concern when she saw it was where her mother was going to park.

That's an Uf Dah! We had some wind too. But had only blew snow around. Gusts in Rugby were 64 mph. Are you planning on a bonfire or two?

The Uf Dah is today when we are having to clean it up. We are just dragging it out to the pasture with the tractor and will cut it for stove wood for the shop later. If the wind dies down and you can get here soon enough, we will have a good bonfire.

Whoa! Glad that tree fell precisely where it did! We had some big wind that day, too, and it caused some of our roof shingles to buckle up. Rodney was out on the roof after dark nailing and gluing them down.
